What Does the Blueray Version of Bohemia Rhapsody Include That It Is Not in the Dvd Version
Bohemian Rhapsody Blu-Ray to Include Full Live Aid Performance
When Bohemian Rhapsody gets its home video release on Blu-ray and DVD, all formats of the film will come with an extended Live Aid performance.
The upcoming Blu-ray release for Bohemian Rhapsody will include an extended version of the Live Aid performance. Bohemian Rhapsody is not only the title of the famous Queen song, but was chosen as the title for the recent Queen biopic. Starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, the film revolved around the life of the rock icon, while also showing the rise of one of the most beloved rock groups in history.
During the final act of the film, the members of Queen get back together to perform at Live Aid; a real-life musical event that was created to raise money for an Ethiopian famine. The event occurred on July 13, 1985, and included one concert at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and another at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Several bands and musicians participated in the event including David Bowie, The Who, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, Mick Jagger, Black Sabbath, and many others. Since Live Aid was a big event in rock history, as well as part of Queen's story, it was put inBohemian Rhapsody as the final scene of the movie.

20th Century Fox (hat tip Collider) recently revealed details for their home video release ofBohemian Rhapsody, which will include a full version of the Live Aid movie performance. The cut of the movie that made it to theaters had a huge chunk of this performance, but the Blu-ray will come with the complete 22-minute performance and include the songs "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Will Rock You". The Blu-ray and 4k Ultra HD versions of the film will also come with the featurettes "Rami Malek: Becoming Freddie", "The Look and Sound of Queen", and "Recreating Live Aid".
Upon the moviemaking its way to theaters,Bohemian Rhapsody was slammed with poor reviews with many people criticizing the movie for not accurately depicting Freddie Mercury and the history of Queen. For instance, it is established in the movie that Queen broke up when Freddie decided to go solo, that Freddie knew he was HIV positive before performing at Live Aid, and that Queen was the one band to save the musical event. In reality, none of this is actually true and was just created for the biopic to make the band's performance at Live Aid seem that much more cinematic.
While the film received a lot of negative reviews and wasn't considered to be incredibly accurate,Bohemian Rhapsody ended up becoming the highest-grossing music biopic in history and sent Queen's music flying up the charts once again. The final sequence of the Live Aid concert is often considered the best part of the film, and fans of Queen will likely be thrilled to hear that an extended version of this scene will be included on the Bohemian Rhapsody home video release.
